FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

The ones people ask before they call — what a first meeting involves, and how the relationship runs.

What does the first meeting cost?

It is complimentary. The first conversation runs 30 to 45 minutes, covers what you are trying to accomplish and where things stand today, and ends with an honest read on whether working together makes sense.

Are you affiliated with Northwestern Mutual?

I am a representative of Northwestern Mutual — which means their planning, investment, insurance and trust capabilities are available to you.

What do ChFC® and RICP® mean?

Both are designations from The American College of Financial Services, each requiring coursework, examinations and ongoing continuing education. Chartered Financial Consultant covers comprehensive planning — income tax, retirement, estate, insurance and investment. Retirement Income Certified Professional is narrower and deeper: how to turn accumulated assets into income that lasts, which is a genuinely different discipline from building the assets in the first place.

Do I need a certain amount of money to work with you?

There is no stated minimum. Some of the most valuable work happens early — with a physician finishing residency, or someone about to see their first meaningful equity vest — when the decisions still compound.

What should I bring to the first meeting?

Nothing is required. If you want to move faster: recent account statements, any insurance policies in force, your most recent tax return, and a rough sense of what you owe. If you have none of it to hand, come anyway.

How often will we meet after the plan is built?

As often as you want it — and at least once a year regardless. The meetings that matter most are the ones tied to something real: a new role, a move, a birth, a business sale, a liquidity event. Tell us one is coming and we will make the time for it. And if a quiet year goes by, you will still hear from us, because plans go stale quietly and the review is what keeps that from happening.

Do you work with clients in other states?

Yes. The offices are in Calabasas and New York, and the practice is licensed and does business in all fifty states. Meetings can be held remotely, and clients who relocate change nothing about the relationship.

Start where you are.

We’ll talk about what matters to you, understand where things stand today, and explore how thoughtful financial guidance can support the future you’re building. It’s simply a conversation to see how we can help.
